home is where the heart is.

smithtown.

as much as I hated being here when I was in high school, sometimes it's all I want to come back to after work, or a hard day. I was walking home from the st. james train station, just bobbing along to whatever shuffled on my ipod when my phone is vibrating. a smile grew on my face when I saw 'Retus' under the little phone icon. He wouldn't be calling for any other reason than having seen me walking along Lake ave. And I was right. So he picked me up and dropped me off at my house. What a good person to have be the first person I see right when I get back into town for a weekend. He's such a good soul. It's people like him, and other old friends that make me miss this town, and make me jealous that I can't come back every summer like everyone else. But I am grateful that I have another place to call home incase I get too bored. Too bad that paying for that place is ruining my life.

and it's too bad that I don't have a car (or an unexpired license that doesn't cost $50 to renew when it is expired) so that I can go to all my favorite spots and really soak in the summer. oh well.
